CRSPHCDA Director General Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong Resumes Office, Holds First Management Meeting
The newly appointed Director General of the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong has formally/officially resumed work. The DG who was led by the formal Director General now the Honorable Commissioner for Health Dr. Janet Ekpenyong stated that there’s a craving need for health care services that needs to be given out to the people as such she had no reason to delay her resumption knowing very well that the health sector needs no vacuum.
Speaking during the official introduction and handing over of the Agency keys and responsibilities to the new DG, the Honorable Commissioner for Health Dr Janet Ekpenyong stressed on her believe and trust for her successor whom she said has remained steadfast, hard-working, dedicated and committed to service and will continue to sustain her legacies. She called on the entire management staff of the Agency to give her every necessary support.
“Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong is one of us, she has been in the system for a long time now and she understands the yearning health needs of our people, she’s a goal getter and am confident she’ll do more and also sustain the achievements of the Agency. Give her every necessary support and let’s all work together in making a new phase in our health sector. I can assure you of my unflinching support and synergy from the Ministry of Health.”
On her part, the new DG thanked the Health Commissioner giving her the necessary reasurrance that she will continue to sustain the achievements she has recorded so far and will continue to build on the already established tempo of good health care delivery.
“Let me first and foremost thank God Almighty for giving me this opportunity to serve my people and my immense thanks goes to the governor Sen Prof Ben Ayade and his dear wife Dr Linda Ayade for finding me fit for this assignment. The CRSPHCDA under the present day Commissioner for Health has done assiduously well and am here to continue in that same speed, I’ll wish to call for unity, hard work, commitment and dedication as our goal is to deliver quality health care services to our people.
“I implore us all to be steadfast and keep our hopes high as we have a mandate to provide good health care services to the people of CRS and that we’ll do as an Agency under one roof. We’ll continue to synergize with the state health ministry and every other agencies for the growth and development of our health sector as God has blessed us with a Governor who cares about the well being of his people and has decided to always keep health issues at the forefront of his administration.”
Highlights of the event was the official handing over of her office key by the Honorable Commissioner for Health Dr Janet Ekpenyong, inspection of various offices, introduction of management staff and a brief management staff meeting amongst others.
