CODE 888 Pay Thank You Visit on State Party EXCO, Commend Leadership For Inducting One of Her Members

…Set to Honour Heroes of ‘Back to South’

A delegation of a high ranking pressure Group in Cross River State, the Code 888, on Friday paid a courtesy call on the EXCO members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State to thank the leadership of the party over the nomination and confirmation of one of her members, Comrade Joseph Ishaje who was recently inducted into the EXCO as State Organizing Secretary.

The high power delegation was made up of young men and women of the group who were warmly received by the State Chairman of the Party, Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba Esq, the State Secretary Barr. Mensah Bassey and other members of the EXCO present.

In his remarks, Director-General of the Code 888, Engr. Maurice Nkong said the delegation had come to thank the leadership of the Party in the State for finding one of her esteemed members worthy of the office of State Organizing Secretary, noting that the nomination and confirmation of Mr Joseph Ishaje were made possible by the overwhelming support of the Chairman and his EXCO members who unanimously adopted him.

“We are here to thank you and your entire EXCO members for affirming one of us, a very reliable and competent young man who recently joined your team in the capacity of State Organizing Secretary”, Nkong said.

Speaking shortly after, the State Organizing Secretary, Mr Joseph Ishaje expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Party led by Barr. Alphonsus Eba Esq, for affirming him as the State Organising Secretary to fill the void created by Engr. Thomas Aruku, promising to give his best to ensure that the Party becomes better and stronger.

While appreciating the Chairman and other stakeholders in the state, Mr Ishaje used the opportunity to invite him to a code 888 post inauguration event billed to hold at the Transcorp Hotels, Calabar, where 25 Cross Riverians described as heroes of the “Back To South” agenda would be honoured on May 31st, 2023.

In his response, State Chairman of the APC, Barr Alphonsus Eba Ogar Esq, said the visit was timely and crucial, reiterating that the Cross River Chapter of the APC was working on putting the right steps in place to make the days ahead much better.

In a vote of thanks, the Chairman, Local Organising Committee for the May 31st Event, Comrade Great Ogban applauded the Chairman for giving the party victory in the just concluded elections in the State.

Code 888 is a pressure group of young men and women formed to canvass support for the zoning formula on power rotation to the 3 senatorial districts of the State, with each 8 representing two terms of the Northern, Central and Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State.
