On this special day of Usumutong new yam festival celebration , I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my esteemed brothers and sisters of Usumutong community, which I am proud to be a native of.
This celebration which we gather in unity to offer gratitude to God for bountiful harvest, celebrate our unique cultural heritage, ethics and values aids to strengthen the bond we share as a people, adding spice to our cherished cultural values and I believe this year\’s New yam festival would not be an exception but will rather help us to improve on our brotherly relationship and brace our ties as people with a common goal of advancing on the peace, unity and development of our community.
I commend our Royal fathers of Usumutong kingdom who have maintained the unique tradition of the celebration of \”USUMUTONG NEW YAM FESTIVAL\” intact and united us for ages thereby calling for peace, love, unity, oneness and a tranquil community.
Also I congratulate our farmers for their hard work, good farming skills and consistency in producing large tubers of yams for the celebration of the annual NEW YAM FESTIVAL and I pray God continually fertilize our soil for you, and bless you with bountiful harvest every season.
I wish every participant in this unique festival a mirthful celebration as you all enjoy the rich fine culture of the hospitable and peace loving people of Usumutong.
