Defection hit PDP as Dr. Ofem dump party with 500 Loyalists

…Says \”NO MORE PDP IN BIASE\”

Dr. Ofem O. Ofem, a prominent political fighter and former leader of the People\’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Adim Biase Local Government Area (LGA), has joined the All Progressive Congress party (APC), garnering a sizable following of ardent followers.

\”There is no more PDP in ADIM,\” Dr. Ofem declared, addressing party leaders and supporters during the official defection and welcome into the APC family.
\”There, I was the only remaining pillar. At the elections, I was the only one who gave the party speech. It indicates that no one is left there if I was the one who won the elections and am no longer a member.

Speaking further about his choice to join the APC, the visibly jubilant man called out the names of over 500 party members.

\”I made the decision to cross over 500 PDP members to the APC with me. It\’s been said that you should join them if you can\’t beat them. We bring to the table the numerical strength and ability to win that every party deserves.
Work with the people I\’m bringing and provide them with the assistance they need.\”

Eldr. (Pharm.) Adjah I. Adjah, the APC Leader in Adim, welcomed the decampee and his troops and praised them for their audacious move. \”We will win more easily with your coming,\” he declared. The main goal of any party is to win elections. Let\’s expand the party to the state and national levels in addition to Biase.
Hon. Emil Inyang running for Akampa/Biase will be our first test, he said.

Another Leader and APC stalwart, Hon. Andy Echo described the move by Dr Ofem as timely, and that everyone has the same rights.

Ward Chairman of the APC, Mr Okon Egwu Ekpe, who expressed happiness to have them in the party. He said that they will all be working together going forward.

Also in attendance was the chapter Women Leader, Dcns. Mrs. Glory I. Egbong, who expressed joy that Dr Ofem who always gives her political fight during elections is now in the same party she belongs. She noted that by this, \”The umbrella in Adim Biase is dilapidated\”.

A party stalwart and Chairman of all Ward Chairmen was also in attendance. He said that \”All rights and privileges will be fully accorded the new members, saying APC is a party that accommodates everyone.
