In anticipation of the 2024 calabar carnival calender which is regarded as Africa\’s largest street celebration, Austin Cobham, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, has revealed the dates of events that would occur at this year\’s celebration.
The purpose of announcing the dates and 2024 calabar carnival calender is to make sure that those attending the Carnival are well-prepared and that their travel schedule takes advantage of the many attractions available to tourists.
During the press conference in Lagos to present the 2024 schedule to the media, Cobham stated that the carnival will take place over 32 days and offer a plethora of captivating events for attendees.

The first dry run, which would announce the carnival, would take place on October 13th.
The Calabar carnival 2024 second dry run would occur on November 17th.
The Calabar carnival 2024 third dry run would occur on December 8th.
The Bikers dry run will take place on December 22nd.
“He stated that the Cultural Carnival and Kings and Queens Night take place on December 26, which marks the beginning of Power Week.
The Pageant of Humanity and the Junior Carnival on December 27.
Additionally, on the 28th, there will be the Grand Street Carnival.
 December 29th 2024, there will be the Bikers Carnival.
According to him, the Marian Street Party will take place on the 30th.

He stated that the Kings and Queens performance and the cultural carnival would take place on December 26, that the junior carnival for kids will take place on December 27, that the Carnival Calabar, Africa\’s largest street party, will take place on December 28, and that the street party would take place on December 30.
Speaking at the ceremony as well, Effiong Ekpenyong, the Special Adviser Events, mentioned that big A-list performers would be expected to rock Calabar and that there will be musical and entertainment events every evening to thrill guests at this year\’s carnival.
