An Engineering finalist from the University of Calabar\’s Mechanical Engineering department by name Emmanuel Ogbonna aka Pelle has emerged victorious in the Distinction Campus Quizathon 1.0, an AI-powered inter-university competition organized by FlexiSaf Edusoft Limited.
The competition, which is the first of its kind in Africa, saw over 6000+ registered participants from 200+ tertiary institutions across Nigeria where there\’s a prize pool of over 3 million naira.
After a keenly contested 5-hour quizathon, below are the results of the top 3 participants:
1) Daniel Adesanya – University of Ibadan – 1654 Points
2) Emmanuel Ogbonna – University of Calabar – 1633 Points
3) Emeka Okeke – Bingham University – 1476 Points

The Distinction Campus Quizathon aims to leverage AI technology to promote academic excellence across African universities. The competition was open to students with an internet-enabled device, who participated for 5 hours after registration.
