A Former Minister of Sports and Special Duties, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, has congratulated Sen. Monday Okpebholo on his resounding victory at the just concluded governorship elections in Edo State.
Professor Adedoja, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, hailed Senator Okpebholo’s landslide win, saying his 291,667 votes reflect Edo people’s overwhelming support for his vision to move the state forward.
Recall that the Cross River State governor, Senator Bassey Otu, led the APC governorship Primary election, as well as the Campaign Council in Edo State. Meanwhile, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, chaired the 5-member screening committee for the Edo State 2024 Governorship election, which ultimately led to Senator Monday Okpebholo’s emergence as Candidate and now Governor-elect.
The Oyo State born party leader extended his heartfelt congratulations to the national Chairman of the Party, H.E. Dr. Abdulallahi Ganduje and the Central Working Committee members for “their tireless efforts in securing the APC’s overwhelming triumph in Edo State.”
Professor Adedoja applauded party members and stakeholders for their steadfast dedication, commending their collective efforts that led to success at the polls. He encouraged the Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to foster a government of inclusivity, collaboration, and unity, extending a hand to other interested persons who aspired for the Edo State governorship seat.
