The Beebo/Bumaji Ward, through the All Progressive Congress Ward Chairman, has issued an indefinite suspension to Hon. Bette Obi, Member representing Boki 1 in the Cross River State House of Assembly, and Hon. Gabriel Ogre, a member of the party in the ward.

The suspension letter reveals shocking details of the duo’s actions, including altering the caucus list for personal gains and misleading the party into publishing their illegal list. Despite written warnings, Hon. Obi and Hon. Ogre smuggled their altered list into the Party’s Secretariat.

These actions constitute gross violations of the party’s constitution, including anti-party activities. Specifically, they nominated a non-party member to run for councilorship in upcoming elections, defying party guidelines that require nominations to come from ward caucuses.

In accordance with Article 21;A, i, ii, iii, iv, v, vi, and vii, Hon. Bette Obi and Hon. Gabriel Ogre are suspended indefinitely from the APC and barred from all party activities. The state party Secretariat has received and acknowledged the suspension letter and will take further action.

The APC national working committee is urged to invoke Article 21;A (xi) to expel these individuals and take necessary actions.

Signed,

Mr. Sylverius Arishie
APC Ward Chairman, Beebo/Bumaji Ward.
