Royal Band Confers Award of Recognition on Comrade Henry Erim Egom (Chief of Staff) for Exceptional Support

A renowned musical ensemble, Royal Band, has conferred an Award of Recognition on Comrade Henry Erim Egom, a steadfast Chief of Staff (COS) to the extraordinary Senator Prof. Sandy Ojang Onor, for his remarkable contributions to the band’s growth and success.
The award presentation was held at the sideline of a vigil on December 6th, 2024, as part of the grand celebration of Mr. Obinna Peter, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking his 25 years behind the microphone.
In his remarks, Mr. Peter expressed heartfelt gratitude to the awardee for his remarkable support and recommendations through the years.
As a trusted aide to Senator Onor, Comrade Egom has not only contributed to the senator’s visionary leadership, but also extended his influence to foster growth in the creative industry.
His devotion goes beyond standing firm during favorable times; it also encompasses enduring the trials and setbacks that accompany the unpredictability of leadership and life.
In his acceptance speech, the Henry Erin Egom expressed deep gratitude to the band for the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting creative talents.

He also dedicated the award to Senator Prof. Sandy Ojang Onor, his beloved wife, Barr. Mrs Gertrude Manyo Sandy-Onor, and his wife, Mrs Mercy Henry Egom, both of whom he described as beacon of leadership, fountain of inspiration, and sources of stability.
Mr. Peter’s journey began as a passionate young entertainer who envisioned a band that would inspire and entertain. Over the years, the band has become a household name in Cross River State and Nigeria, earning accolades for their dynamic performances and cultural preservation.
