The Permanent Secretary of the Cross River State Ministry of Finance, AF Ajah mni becomes the first civil servant from Abi LGA and second from Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency in Cross River States to graduate from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Senior Executive Course 46.

The institution which was established by Decree No. 20, 1979, and CAP Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 is a high-level center for reflection, research, and learning, wwith the primary objective of serving as the nation’s foremost policy ‘think-tank’, developing a crop of top-class technocrats of high intellectual capacity, conceptualizing and anchoring the implementation of innovative and dynamic policy initiatives and strategies critical for national development.

The Ebom-born social phenomenon, hails from Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State. He is a seasoned banker, politician and renowned scholar. Hon. Ajah is an associate Member, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He has bagged several certificates and remains a member of several professional bodies, prominent amongst which include: Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy, Masters of Science in Accountancy (M.Sc.) and Masters in Business Management (MBA). He is also an Associate Member of the Certified Institute of Cost Management (AMCICM), Associate Member, Nigeria Institute of Management (AMNIM).

AF Ajah mni had worked and obtained various appointments such as Special Adviser to Governor of Cross River State and currently serving as the Permanent Secretary, Cross River State Ministry of Finance. It is worthy to note that, he is also a part time lecturer in Arthur Javis University and University of Cross River State. And has been involved in the United Nation and Worldbank Sub-Component Coordinator of State Governance and Capacity Building Project (SGCBP), and State and Local Governance Reforms (SLOGOR), Calabar, Cross River State. Additionally, he was a member of SFTAS and SABER program anchor by Worldbank, IMF, Federal Ministry of Finance and Debt Management Office.

Previously, He was the head of the State Financial Policy Management Department, CRS Ministry of Finance and was a Director, Cross River State Newspaper Corporation, The Nigerian Chronicle. Hon. AF Ajah mni had an early disposition in Governance as Councilor, Deputy Leader of Abi Local Government Legislative Council.

Indeed Hon. Chief AF Ajah mni is a pace setter and a record breaker. Congratulations Sir.
