A wave of gratitude and joy filled the conference hall of Prof. Eyo Ita House as the management and staff of the Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA), as well as beneficiaries, gathered to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Director General Great Ogban’s appointment.
Great Ogban assumed leadership of MEDA on March 4th, 2024, and in the year since, he has demonstrated unwavering dedication to championing Governor Bassey Otu’s “People First” mandate through strategic Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) development.
The celebration was marked by a solemn assembly, organized by the Agency, to express heartfelt gratitude for the progress achieved under Ogban’s leadership. Staff members reflected on the significant strides made in empowering entrepreneurs and driving economic growth within Cross River State.
“This past year has been a period of remarkable transformation for MEDA,” stated Enwongo-Abasi Okon, General Manager, MEDA. “Ogban’s visionary leadership and tireless commitment have been instrumental in advancing the Governor’s ‘People First’ agenda. Under Great Ogban’s guidance, MEDA has implemented numerous initiatives aimed at fostering entrepreneurship, providing access to finance, and promoting sustainable economic development. The Agency has seen significant growth in its programs and outreach, positively impacting the lives of countless individuals and businesses across the state.
