As our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr, I extend heartfelt felicitations to them in the successful completion of the Ramadan.
The past weeks have been a period of self denial, sacrifice, and dedication to the Almighty, a reminder of the virtues of selflessness, tolerance and love as espoused by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.
I commend your display of empathy and compassion to one another and urge you to extend these pivotal lessons beyond the period of Ramadan.
