UNICAL VC, Prof. Florence Obi continues inspection of ongoing projects

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Banku Obi has continued to inspect ongoing projects in the institution with a view to ensure timely completion and according to specification.

While on the inspection tour today, she expressed commitment that most of the ongoing work in the lecture halls and offices would be completed to accommodate staff and students when they resume from the strike action by ASUU.

She charged the contractors to speed up the process of work without any delay.

Among the projects she inspected today were;
*Joyce Udensi Female Scholarship Hostel
*Male scholarship Hostel
*Lecturers offices in Biological Sciences
*Renovation of Mass Communication Department

She also took assessment of Biological Sciences Laboratory, Pavilion D, E & F respectively to see their conditions. She promised that work will commence soon in those buildings.

Inspite the strike action, the VC is always in the field, inspecting the ongoing projects in the institution and ensuring that quality materials are used to maintain standard.

Her desire is to see that students of the institution resume school into a comfortable environment and lecture halls to enhance their learning process.
