ABUJA — A new chapter in the political journey of the Obudu/Bekwara/Obanlikwu (OBO) Federal Constituency was formally opened today as Prince Victor Ategwu Akpam unveiled and inaugurated his campaign at a well-attended event held at D’Jonas Garden, FHA Estate, Lugbe, Abuja.

The event attracted a vibrant cross-section of constituents from the three Local Government Areas of Obudu, Bekwara and Obanlikwu, underscoring a growing wave of support and collective resolve for purposeful leadership and inclusive representation at the National Assembly.

Declaring the occasion a symbolic dawn of a new era, Prince Akpam expressed profound gratitude to supporters, sponsors and well-wishers who travelled from far and near to identify with the vision of restored confidence in leadership and collective progress for the OBO constituency and Cross River State at large.

“This gathering is more than a campaign launch; it is a statement of love, unity and readiness for a new beginning,” he said.

“It affirms that our people are prepared to chart a different course, one anchored on service, accountability and development.”

Prince Akpam paid special tribute to the Campaign Director and co-host, Mr Jeremiah Awhe, whose strategic coordination and dedication were described as instrumental to the overall success of the event. He also acknowledged the steadfast support of key partners, particularly his boss and the Director of the World Sustainable Development Goals Organization (WSDGsO), West African Region, His Excellency CDR. Fubes Ade Danor, for his encouragement and sponsorship.

Commending the courage and commitment of attendees, Prince Akpam noted that their presence reflected a shared belief in the possibility of genuine transformation within the constituency.

He reaffirmed his resolve to sustain the momentum beyond the launch, stressing that the campaign would remain people-driven and issue-focused.

“Today marks the beginning, not the end,” he added. “We will not relent until this collective dream becomes a living reality for every community in Obudu, Bekwara and Obanlikwu.”

The event concluded with prayers and goodwill messages for the people of the constituency, members of the PVA Akpam Support Group, and the entire Cross River State.

With the OBO27 campaign now officially underway, supporters say the movement represents a clarion call for responsible leadership and a fresh covenant of trust, responsibility and accountable representation between the people and their prospective representative.
God bless the good people of Obudu, Bekwara and Obanlikwu.
