The Member representing Obanliku/Obudu/Bekwarra Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Akpanke, has continued his developmental strides with the commissioning of key educational infrastructure projects across communities in Obudu Local Government Area.

In continuation of his activities, Hon. Akpanke commissioned a six-classroom block with a library at Community Secondary School, Ukpada, in Utugwang South Ward. The project, which was facilitated by the lawmaker, is aimed at improving the quality of teaching and learning in the school.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Akpanke expressed gratitude to members of the Ukpada community for their massive turnout and support. He noted that the project would significantly enhance the academic environment of the school and pledged to continue unveiling more signature projects across the OBO Federal Constituency.

“This school project will go a long way in improving the standard of teaching and learning in the school. I deeply appreciate the large turnout of the community and I look forward to unveiling more projects across the constituency,” he said.

Similarly the day 2, the lawmaker officially commissioned a three-classroom block with an office at Community Secondary School, Kubung Bette, also in Obudu Local Government Area.

Recalling his earlier visit to the community, Hon. Akpanke stated that he was disturbed by the poor condition of the old school building, which was not conducive for learning. He explained that he immediately promised to intervene, a promise which has now been fulfilled.

“Some months ago, I was deeply concerned by the condition of the old school building. I made a promise to provide new classrooms, and today, that promise has been fulfilled,” he said.

In addition to the infrastructural support, Hon. Akpanke also awarded one-term scholarships to sixteen students of the school in recognition of their warm reception and impressive cultural performances during the event.

He further expressed appreciation to the Kubung Bette community, party stakeholders, supporters, and friends who accompanied him to commission the project, describing the occasion as historic.

Hon. Akpanke reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising education and human capital development across the constituency, noting that quality learning facilities remain central to building a strong and prosperous society.

He concluded by thanking the Ukpada and Kubung Bette communities for their continued support and prayers, while calling for sustained cooperation in advancing development across Obanliku, Obudu, and Bekwarra.

“God bless Ukpada Community, Kubung Bette Community, and the entire OBO Federal Constituency,” he said.
