CRSCF Felicitates APC State Executive Council, Calls for Unity and Strategic Leadership

Written by calabarGist

The Cross River State Consultative Forum (CRSCF), a foremost socio-political body and public policy think-tank committed to the advancement of Cross River State, congratulates the newly constituted State Executive Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Hon. Chris Sunny Etta.

The Forum is particularly excited by the fact that Hon. Chris Sunny Etta, a tested, unassuming, humble but passionate gentleman, is leading the APC line as the state begins to navigate the political pathway toward the 2027 general elections.

The Forum notes that the emergence of the new State Executive Council for the 2026–2030 tenure comes at a pivotal moment in the political trajectory of Cross River State. With the state gradually approaching a cycle of important political activities: including party congresses, strategic political alignments, and preparations toward future general elections; the quality, discipline, and vision of party leadership will play a decisive role in shaping the stability of the political environment.

CRSCF therefore considers the inauguration of the new executive not merely as a routine internal party development, but as a significant step in strengthening the institutional capacity of the APC as the governing political party in the state. The Forum expects the leadership of the party under Hon. Chris Sunny Etta to consolidate internal cohesion, promote consultation among critical stakeholders, and sustain a culture of transparency, inclusion, and fairness in the management of party affairs.

We therefore urge the new executive, under the leadership of Hon. Chris Sunny Etta, to approach its mandate with a deep sense of responsibility, fairness, and inclusiveness. The Forum believes that consolidating unity within the party, strengthening grassroots structures, and maintaining constructive engagement with stakeholders across the three senatorial districts will be essential to the success of the party and the broader political stability of the state.

The Consultative Forum also encourages the leadership of the party to uphold the principles of internal democracy, consultation, and transparency in the management of party affairs. Strong political institutions, guided by discipline and respect for collective interest, remain indispensable to the progress and development of our state.

As a body deeply invested in the long-term stability and sustainable development of Cross River, the CRSCF reaffirms its commitment to promoting constructive dialogue, responsible political engagement, and governance that reflects the collective aspirations of our people.

We wish the Chairman, Hon. Chris Sunny Etta and members of the newly constituted executive a successful tenure and trust that their leadership will contribute meaningfully to strengthening democratic culture, political stability, and sustainable development in Cross River State.

Signed

Hon. Eyo Nsa Ekpo Esq.
