The Organizing Committee of the Okpambe Cultural and Fishing Festival wishes to inform the general public that the 2026 edition of the festival has been rescheduled.

The festival, earlier slated to hold from March 27–30, 2026, will now take place from April 7–10, 2026, at Okum Lake, Yala-Obubra, Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State.

This decision was reached after due consultation with the Cross River State Government through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, as well as other relevant stakeholders. The adjustment is intended to align the event with the traditional calendar and to allow for better coordination and adequate preparations toward achieving a successful and memorable cultural celebration.

All planned activities for the festival remain unchanged, with the Grand Finale scheduled for April 10, 2026. Participants, sponsors, guests, and the general public are kindly requested to take note of the new dates and adjust their schedules accordingly.

The Committee regrets any inconvenience this change in date may cause, appreciates the understanding and continued support of all stakeholders, and looks forward to hosting a vibrant celebration that promotes our rich cultural heritage, unity, and local economy.

Signed:Eriacy Confidence Oba,
