A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) since 2014, Dr. Agbor has played a critical role in strengthening party cohesion in Cross River State. He emerged as the consensus candidate for the Obudu State House of Assembly bye-election in 2020, following his instrumental role in harmonizing a previously factionalized party structure. He contributed to the formation of the Sen. Mathew Mbu-led caretaker committee for the state chapter of APC and supervised the 2021 Obudu LG membership revalidation exercise. His long history of grassroots mobilization includes organizing a major APC rally in 2021 during the former governor’s entry into the party, where he served as Co Chairman of the Venue and Logistics Subcommittee. His dedication to party development extends back to 1999, when he served as pioneer ward secretary for the All People’s Party and donated his family property as a ward secretariat.
Recognizing that sustainable development begins with education, Dr. Agbor has provided bursaries to students across Obudu, Bekwarra, and Obanliku. He believes in supporting young people through meaningful initiatives that build skills and opportunities rather than temporary handouts. Dr. Agbor is also known for his humanitarian service and community engagement. As Chairman of the Health Anti Quackery Committee, he works to ensure safe, high quality healthcare for residents of Obudu and surrounding areas. His free medical outreach programs extend beyond his constituency to Boki and other communities, earning him local recognition as “Dr. Omega.” In infrastructure, Dr. Agbor has undertaken projects such as opening the Ukpada Mbube East road, a vital commercial route abandoned for over three decades, and grading streets in Agiga New Layout, Ogoja. A committed Christian and Knight of the Noble Order of St. Mulumba, he has contributed significantly to church growth and charitable initiatives. He supported Her Excellency Bishop Eyoanwan Otu’s “First Family Christmas Gifts Initiative” in 2025, providing aid to over 500 widows across Utukalu constituency.

If elected to the House of Representatives, he plans to hold regular town hall meetings to identify and address constituents’ needs, advocate for legislative frameworks to support local communities, particularly in land rights and economic development, upgrade the Federal College of Education, Obudu, to a degree awarding institution in honor of Dr. Joseph Wayas, former Senate President, and promote urban development in Abuochichie to establish it as a commercial hub. He will also support employment initiatives, youth empowerment, health insurance coverage, ICT and AI training, and cybersecurity skills development.
