NAF Issues Important Reporting Instructions for Successful NDA Candidates
The Nigerian Air Force has released an important notification to successful candidates of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA),Direct Short Service Commission 34/2026 outlining mandatory items, reporting guidelines, and conditions for cadet training.
Required Items for All Candidates of NAF Direct Short Service Commission NDA
Candidates are expected to report with essential personal items including:
- A black rubber-strapped digital wristwatch
- A pressing iron
- Six passport photographs
Additional Requirements for Female Candidates
Female candidates are to report with the following:
- One pair of black low-heel cover shoes
- Four dark-coloured lounge skirts
- Four pairs of black or blue short tights
- Two pairs of trouser suits
Training Guidelines and Restrictions
The Air Force emphasized that from the commencement of training at the Nigerian Defence Academy:
- Candidates will not be allowed to receive visitors
- Movement outside the Academy is prohibited during the first three months
- Candidates will not be considered employees of the NAF until successful completion of training and commissioning
It further warned that any candidate who withdraws or is dismissed before commissioning will not be entitled to any benefits or re-engagement opportunities from the Federal Government.
Reporting Deadline
All successful candidates are required to report on or before:
6:00 PM (1800 Hours), Monday, April 20, 2026
Failure to meet this deadline will result in automatic forfeiture of admission.

The notification also included a breakdown of successful candidates across states, with details such as applicant ID, names, gender, and assigned trade fields including Chaplaincy, Aircraft Engineering, Communication Information Systems, and Administration/Personnel Services.
