Andy Robertson to Leave Liverpool at End of Season
Andy Robertson will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the season when his contract expires, ending a successful nine-year spell at the club.
The 32-year-old joined Liverpool from Hull City in 2017 and has since made 373 appearances. During his time at Anfield, he won nine trophies, including two Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup, and two League Cups. He also lifted the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and Community Shield.
This season, Robertson has mostly been second choice following the arrival of Milos Kerkez.
Robertson said:
“It’s never easy leaving a club like Liverpool… it has been a huge part of my life for nine years. But players move on and I feel now is the right time for me to go.
“I’ve had amazing memories here and I’ve given everything to the club. I’ll always be grateful and I’ll always look back with pride.”
Robertson leaves Liverpool as one of the club’s most successful and consistent players of the modern era.
