Victory Ekpe today celebrated the birthday of Her Excellency, Bishop (Mrs.) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, wife of the Governor of Cross River State, with over one thousand women across the ten council wards of Abi Local Government Area.

The celebration, which featured visits to the various wards, saw Victory Ekpe distribute numerous gift items worth millions of naira to women as part of activities marking the birthday of the First Lady, who is widely known for her humanitarian initiatives and commitment to social welfare.
Speaking during the tour, Victory Ekpe described Her Excellency as a compassionate leader, devoted mother, and outstanding humanitarian whose life-impacting programmes have continued to uplift women, youths, and vulnerable groups across Cross River State. She noted that the First Lady’s selfless service and people-centered leadership have made her a role model to many.
Women across the ten wards turned out in large numbers to celebrate the occasion, singing birthday songs, offering prayers, and applauding Her Excellency’s humanitarian gestures while reaffirming their continued support and prayers for her and the development of the state.
Also speaking, Evangelist Mrs. Love Alex Egbona, wife of the member representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, applauded Victory Ekpe for deeming it necessary to celebrate Her Excellency’s birthday with Abi women. She noted that Bishop Eyoanwan Otu has impacted immensely on the lives of women in Abi through her life-enhancing initiatives, adding that the women will continue to celebrate and support her.
Victory Ekpe, while appreciating Mrs. Ekwele Agube and Evangelist Love Egbona for their valued support, urged the women to remain steadfast in prayers for peace, unity, and sustained development in Cross River State.
