Atlético Madrid Prepare FIFA Complaint Against Barcelona Over Julián Álvarez Situation

The growing tension between Atlético Madrid and Barcelona has escalated, with ATM reportedly preparing to file an official complaint to FIFA over Barcelona’s alleged interest in Julián Álvarez.

According to reports from Diario AS, ATM have expressed their intention to challenge Barcelona’s actions, claiming the Catalan club are negotiating with a player who remains under contract with Atlético Madrid.

“The plan is to file a complaint against Barça to FIFA as they’re negotiating with a player who is under contract,” Atlético stated in an unofficial message shared with Diario AS.

The Madrid-based club are reportedly unhappy with Barcelona’s approach and have accused them of repeating a pattern of conduct they strongly disagree with. Atlético officials are said to believe that this time the situation will not be ignored.

“Everyone knows it’s a cheating club. But this time they have come up against a club that won’t laugh it off,” Atlético were quoted as saying.

“We have already seen how Barcelona operate, such as when Atlético were preparing for their Champions League tie against Juventus and Barça were promising commissions to Griezmann’s sister, his family, and the player himself,” the club reportedly added.

Barcelona have yet to officially respond to Atlético’s claims, while the Julián Álvarez situation continues to attract significant attention in Spanish football circles.

The Argentine forward has become one of Europe’s most sought-after attacking players, and any potential move involving him could create further tension between clubs. With Atlético determined to protect their interests, the matter could now become a major transfer dispute requiring FIFA’s involvement.

The coming days are expected to provide more clarity as both clubs navigate the increasingly heated situation surrounding Julián Álvarez.
