A Heartfelt Appeal for Support from the recent fire outbreak in Calabar: Help Peace Peter Williams Rebuild Her Life After a Devastating Fire
Our hearts are deeply burdened as we share the tragic incident that occurred in the early hours of today, at about 1:00 a.m.
A devastating fire completely destroyed the home and belongings of Peace Peter Williams, leaving her with absolutely nothing. The fire consumed everything she owned, including her clothes, personal belongings, household items, educational materials, and important documents. Even her WAEC certificate, school records, receipts, and other valuable documents were burnt beyond recovery.

What makes this situation even more heartbreaking is that Peace is an orphan and a self-sponsored student of the University of Calabar. Through hard work, determination, and personal sacrifices, she has been striving to finance her education and provide for herself without the support of parents or sponsors.
Sadly, years of sacrifices have now been reduced to ashes. The receipts and records of school fees paid over the years, alongside many other important academic documents, were all consumed by the fire. Apart from the nightwear she was wearing when the fire broke out, she has nothing left.
As if the loss is not painful enough, the University of Calabar is scheduled to commence examinations in about a week’s time, and Peace now finds herself battling emotional trauma, uncertainty, and the challenge of replacing essential academic materials while trying to prepare for her examinations.
The emotional toll has been overwhelming. She has cried endlessly over this painful loss, and at this point, words can hardly describe the depth of her pain. As someone who knows her situation firsthand, I do not know a better way to help than to reach out to compassionate and kind-hearted individuals who may be willing to support her during this difficult season.
Today, Peace is faced with the daunting task of starting life all over again. She needs support to replace basic necessities, recover important documents, secure accommodation, and continue her education without interruption.
We humbly appeal to everyone with a compassionate heart to please come to her aid. No contribution is too small. Whether through financial support, clothing, food items, household essentials, educational materials, or prayers, every act of kindness will go a long way in helping her rebuild her life.
