See List: UNICAL Suspends 19 Students Over Alleged Examination Misconduct

The Management of the University of Calabar, UNICAL, has suspended 19 students over alleged examination misconduct.

The suspension was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of Administration, Dr. Citizen Ini Ekpo on behalf of the University Registrar Dr Chukwuka Icha following recommendations by the Students’ Disciplinary Committee and subsequent approval by the University Senate.

According to the letter, the affected students have been suspended for one academic session, covering the 2025/2026 academic session.

The 19 Unical students that were suspended are expected to resume studies

2026/2027 academic session.

List of UNICAL 19 students that were suspended over alleged examination misconduct.

The suspended students include Okoli Ifeanyi of the Department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Administration, (21/082144084), Blessing Johnson Amos of the Department of Political Science, ( 20/10314097), Chijioke Eric Uchechukwu of the Department of Economics, (20/101144121) and Uwakwe Grace of the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology, (20/152144193).

Others are Favour Odechukwu, (20/151144061), Elemi Rachael of the Department of Plant and Ecological Studies, ( 20/151144061), Udosen Gift of the Department of English and Literary Studies, (20/031144185) and Ayuk Gladys Felix of the Department of Educational Foundations, (202210863246CSA.)

Also affected are Iwara Darlington Joseph of the Department of Banking and Finance, (22/082144043), Emmanuel Godwin Udoudom , Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology, ( PDS/2019/0281), Gospel Ishuka, Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology, ( 20/154414011) Fabowale Habibat Arike, Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, (20/103244021) and Okey Jane Ihechi, Department of Science Laboratory Technology, ( 21/155144213).

The list further includes Bassey Deborah Victor, Department of Physiotherapy, ( 20/025145009), Esther Ekor Ojisor of the Department of Nursing Science, ( 21/02245116), Obu Favour Obu, Department of Estate Management, ( 202440573923DF), Nandi Chidera Winner, Department of Pharmacology, (202441921180BA), Ogogo Benita Okoro, Department of Geology, ( 21/155144110) and Blessing Njuo Bisong, Department of Marketing, ( 202441022271BA).

All Deans, Heads of Departments, and other relevant units are to take note of the suspension and ensure strict compliance with the directive.
