Calabar Pastor Accused of Alleged Sexual Misconduct by Church Member; Evidence Reportedly Submitted

Written by calabarGist

A church member has accused a prominent pastor in Calabar, Cross River State, of alleged sexual misconduct, claiming the cleric has repeatedly made unwanted sexual advances despite her refusal.

The complainant, who contacted Calabargist, said she decided to speak out after allegedly enduring persistent advances over an extended period. According to her, she has also submitted screenshots and other materials which she says support her claims.

The victim alleged that the pastor, who is married with children, has continued to pressure her into a sexual relationship despite her repeated rejection. She further claimed that she is aware of similar allegations involving other female members of the church.

According to the complainant, her close involvement in church activities and familiarity with the pastor’s family made the situation emotionally more difficult, prompting her to seek public attention after other efforts allegedly failed.

The accuser also alleged that she has received communications from the pastor that she considers inappropriate and says she fears the situation could continue if left unaddressed.

As of the time of this publication, Calabargist has not involved the pastor yet due to the fear shown by the victim but with assurance of posting and calling him out if he persists

Calabargist remains committed to responsible journalism and encourages anyone accused of wrongdoing to exercise their right of reply. If the pastor or the church wishes to respond to these allegations, their statement will be published in the interest of fairness and balance.
