# Inter Milan Agree Deal to Sign John Stones on Two-Year Contract
Inter Milan have reached an agreement to sign experienced defender John Stones on a two-year contract, with the transfer now considered a done deal.
The former Manchester City centre-back has agreed to personal terms following final discussions between the parties on Tuesday evening. Stones is set to sign a contract that will keep him at the Serie A club until June 2028, with no option included for an additional year.
Under the agreement, the England international will earn a salary of around €4 million net per season as he begins a new chapter in Italy.
Stones is expected to travel to Milan in the coming days to undergo his medical examination before the transfer is officially completed. Once the medical and final paperwork are finalized, Inter will formally announce the signing.
The move brings one of England’s most accomplished defenders to San Siro after a highly successful spell at Manchester City, where he established himself as a key figure in the club’s domestic and European success.
Inter see Stones as an important addition to strengthen their defensive options, adding leadership, composure on the ball, and valuable experience at the highest level of the game.
With all major details now agreed, only the remaining formal procedures stand between Stones and his official unveiling as an Inter player. The transfer is expected to be completed shortly, marking another significant addition to the club’s squad ahead of the new season.
