Lazio Agree Deal to Sign Davide Frattesi from Inter
Biancocelesti have reached an agreement with Inter to sign midfielder Davide Frattesi on loan, with the deal including an obligation to buy under certain conditions, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The agreement will see the Biancocelesti pay a €1 million loan fee for Frattesi, while a €14 million purchase clause will become mandatory if specific conditions are met.
The obligation to buy will reportedly be triggered if Lazio finish in the required position in the league or if Frattesi reaches a certain number of appearances during his time at the club.
Frattesi, who has been with Inter since 2023, is now set to begin a new chapter with Lazio as he looks for greater regular playing time. The Italy international has featured regularly for Inter but has often had to compete for minutes in a highly competitive midfield.
Inter have also secured a significant future financial safeguard as part of the agreement. The Nerazzurri will retain a 50% sell-on clause, meaning they could benefit substantially from any future transfer involving Frattesi if Lazio eventually sell the midfielder.
The deal represents an important move for Lazio, who are adding an experienced Italian midfielder to their squad, while Inter are able to generate immediate income and maintain a strong financial interest in the player’s future.
With the agreement now in place, the remaining formalities are expected to be completed before Frattesi can officially join Lazio.
