Memphis Depay’s Corinthians Renewal to Cost $26M
Memphis Depay’s new two-year contract extension with Corinthians will cost the Brazilian club a total of $26 million, according to ESPN.
The Dutch forward has agreed to reduce the $15 million debt Corinthians owed him by $4 million, leaving $11 million to be paid to the player in four installments.
Under the renewed agreement, Memphis will earn $7.5 million per season, making him one of the club’s highest-paid players. His package also includes two private boxes at the stadium and dates that can be used to host private events.
The contract also contains performance bonuses linked to Corinthians’ team achievements. However, unlike his previous agreement, Memphis will not receive individual bonuses for goals scored.
The renewal keeps the 32-year-old forward at Corinthians for another two years, with the club committing significant financial resources to retain one of its key attacking players.
Memphis joined Corinthians in 2025 and has since become an important figure for the Brazilian side. His new deal reflects the club’s desire to keep him while restructuring the outstanding payments from his previous contract.
