The Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON) has declared its support for Governor Bassey Otu, President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group said it was prepared to mobilise its members and supporters across Cross River State to deliver strong electoral support for the APC candidates during the elections.
The declaration was made on Friday at an endorsement rally organised for APC candidates in the Northern Senatorial District at Ogoja Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of CRISPON, Dr Michael Abuo, said the group’s position was influenced by what it described as the achievements recorded by the administrations of President Tinubu and Governor Otu.
Abuo maintained that supporting the two leaders would help sustain ongoing development efforts in the state and strengthen Cross River’s influence at the federal level.
According to him, increased electoral support for President Tinubu would give Cross River greater political leverage and improve the state’s ability to attract federal attention and opportunities.
He urged members of the group and other supporters to remain united and committed ahead of the 2027 polls, stressing the importance of political participation and mobilisation.
The rally attracted APC supporters and stakeholders from the Northern Senatorial District, who expressed their backing for the party and its candidates.
The group’s endorsement comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political groups and stakeholders across Cross River beginning to mobilise support for their preferred candidates.
