“Nobody Can Compete With Messi” – Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique: Nobody Can Be Compared to Lionel Messi, the Greatest of All Time

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has delivered a strong response to comparisons between Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal and football legend Lionel Messi, insisting that nobody can compete with the Argentine superstar.

Enrique praised Yamal’s mentality, describing the young Barcelona winger as a smart player who understands the importance of building his own identity rather than constantly being compared to other football legends.

According to the PSG manager, Yamal wants to become the best possible version of himself instead of trying to follow in Messi’s footsteps.

“Lamine is very smart because he wants to be Lamine. He just wants to be the best version of himself without comparisons,” Enrique said.

The Spaniard also made his admiration for Messi clear, declaring that comparing the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner with any other footballer is impossible.

“Comparing Leo Messi to any other player is impossible. He’s THE BEST EVER and so NOBODY can compete with Messi,” he added.

Enrique further stressed that it is always better for players to concentrate on their own development rather than measure themselves against others.

Yamal has continued to attract attention with his impressive performances, with many drawing similarities between his playing style and Messi’s early years at Barcelona.

However, Enrique believes the teenager should be allowed to create his own legacy, making it clear that Messi’s achievements place him in a category of his own.
