World Bank and FG Score Cross River High On Performance Evaluation on project execution

Cross River State Government has been scored high on performance evaluation of the Federal Government (FG) – World Bank Agro -Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood improvement Support (APPEALS) Projects.

The world bank commendations was given during a stakeholders and interactive meeting of the Key permformance indicators and appraisal of APPEALS Project implementation in Cross River State.

Speaking during the meeting attended by the Commissioner for International Development Cooperation,Dr Inyang Asibong, the CRS APPEALS Projects team led by Mr Marcel Agim, and the National Coordinating Office team , she assured that the State is finishing strong in preparation for a wrap up.

Asibong assured that the task ahead of the project team is to ensure that all pending sub-projects are implemented before the end of the 2023 deadline.

According to Asibong, all the ongoing infrastructural projects will be completed within the specified period and allotted timelines.

She pledged to consolidate the achievements and successes recorded so far in the implementation of other projects across the state, noting that the report has shown that most of the Key Performance Indicators of the APPEALS project are inline with specifications.

In attendance at the Meeting were some of the World Bank-Nigeria officials, Management and Staff of the APPEALS Project,as well as top government officials including the Senior Special Assistant, International Donor , Mr Esu CocoBassey among others.
