NYCN SOUTH POLITICAL/SECURITY SUMMIT 2022

The Inaugural meeting of the Central Planning Committee of the fourth coming NYCN SOUTH POLITICAL/SECURITY SUMMIT held 2nd of October, 2022 at Municipal Garden Calabar lasted for 3 hours.

The Central Planning Committee\’s effort to make our Upcoming Summit a success include:

(1.) Distribution of Courtesy call letters to some powerful dignitaries of the state as a request to meet with them. Some of the dignatries were;

a)The Obong of Calabar( Treaty King) who already approved that CPC members visit the palace on the Tuesday 4th of October, 2022 by 1pm at Egerton.

b) The Ndidem of Quas, The Commissioner of Police and The State Director of DSSS who have also approved our Courtesy call visit and the date scheduled for the visit is Wednesday 5th of October, 2022.

(2.)Securing of Keynote Speakers

(3.)Meeting with some of the Cross River youths in business.

(4.) The proposal of collaborating with Cross River State Youths in Politics on their Award Presentation event so as to use same venue.

(5.) We also proposed to meet with the Catholic Youths of Calabar on the 9th of October during their general meeting in order to sensitize them about NYCN and inform them about our big event. We also intend to move to some other big churches too.

D. RESOLUTIONS

1. Change in the date of our Summit from 29th of October , 2022 to 28th of October, 2022.
2. Decision to collaborate with Cross River State Youths in politics as they would have their event on 28th of Oct.
3. Giving the summit the publicity we expect; an on ground publicity not social media. Some strategies have been put in place to give event a very good coverage.
4. The event will last for 6 hrs between 11am and 5pm.
5. Program Activities was planned out.
6. There will be a leadership workshop on 10th of Oct, 2022 to put the new LG leadership through the rudiments of NYCN, Leadership as well as Governance. The workshop would be used as a pre- mobilization for our event.

Note: The event should not be tilted toward a particular party. It will be an all party event.
