Solidarity greetings
It saddens the Union today to hear the sad news of our dear 3rd year female student of the department of Library and Information science who was snatched by the cold hands of Death in the university Medical Center.
The Union Leaders are not taking this incident likely. we appreciate the University Management for being on the same page with the Union Leaders to address all issues accordingly to ensure such an incident never occur again in the history of story of this great citadel of learning.
Effort has been made and we have been able to reach out to the deceased parents. We assure all students that the Union and the University management has collectively taken it up to make sure that the needful is being done.
The University management has however set up a committee to investigate and bring report to the management within one week and the culprit if found guilty will be brought to justice.
Members of the deceased family who were also present at the meeting promised to bring words back to the University management immediately after their family meeting to chart a way forward.
We appreciate our dear students who expressed themselves today in solidarity with the deceased as we as a union also wish to plead with all students to always be rest assured that this current administration will always speak and make sure our voices are been fully represented and heard.
We plead that when issues arise, the Students should always stay calm and await a positive response from the Union. We advice our students never to take laws into their hands and when there are medical issues, they should speak up early no matter the condition of things.
The Union led by Sen. Tyron Bassey and the University Management will always work for the benefit and of our students.

The Union is ever ready to take all your plights to the University Management and we assure you that all will be addressed for the good of all students. We will never negotiate the quality of services to be rendered to our fellow students.
