The Director General of the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong has commended all the implementing partners in the State for their tremendous support and efforts that has kept the State\’s health sector running. Mrs Abasioffiong during the Monthly Partners Coordination Meeting expressed her satisfaction with the level work of done and the efforts put forth by the implementing partners.

Speaking during the Meeting, the Honorable Commissioner for Health Dr Janet Ekpenyong called on partners to step up their pace and continue to provide services putting into consideration the numerous challenges the State faced before the final arrival of vaccines.
\”Let me first of all thank you all for coming, I wish to commend our partners for the support and efforts they have made to keep the health sector running. As a State we are still leading in terms of Covid-19 vaccination and this is an achievement you all have helped us record.

\”I sincerely appreciate the efforts and good works of the new director general especially for the wonderful achievements she has recorded so far one of which is connecting the cool chain to the national grid and ensuring that vaccines gets to the State with support from UNICEF, WHO, NPHCDA and other partners. We\’ll continue to work in synergy to keep our people safe.\”

On her part, the Director General of the CRSPHCDA Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong thanked all the partners for their efforts that has helped the State record tremendous success. \”As partners I must say you all have been supportive and this is evident on the numerous achievements we\’ve recorded within the past years.
\”Our people depends on us for the best health care services and the only way we can give them that is when we continue to work in synergy and with this speed/energy. As a state, we\’ll continue to do our best to give you a good and comfortable atmosphere and to see to it that you are all very comfortable as that is one of the keys to achieving good results.\”

The monthly partners coordination meeting is held monthly to enable the State and her partners know the position of the health sector, her achievements, possible challenges and ways to solve such challenges and then chat a way forward for other health activities.
With the Honorable Commissioner for Health and the Director General during the meeting was the Permanent Secretary of the CRSMOH Dr. Pauline Obute, the Permanent Secretary of the CRSPHCDA Dr. Iwara Iwara, heads of WHO, UNICEF, AHF, FHI360, KNCV, ECEWS, RISE, GHSC amongst others.
