The immediate past Chairman of Biase Local Government Council, Hon. Chief (Mrs) Ada Charles Egwu, has congratulated Sen. Asuquo Ekpenyong, Hon. Onun (Dr) Emil Inyang and Hon. (Engr) Francis Ogban, the newly inaugurated Senator representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District and Member Representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency as well as Honourable Member Representing Biase State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assemly.
She said the emergence and successful inauguration of the trio, is a clear testimony that God rules supreme in the affairs of men and indeed controls the hearts of kings to favour and bless those he has chosen.
The award winning Chairman said, Sen. Asuquo, Hon. Emil and Hon. Ogban are no doubt, thoroughbred, men with vast leadership experience and export from Cross River South and Biase Local Government Area. They have all it takes to succeed.
Mrs Egwu, while congratulating them for obeying the clarion call to serve as a voice for her people, wished the new President of the Nigerian Senate, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assemly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem and the inaugurated members of the National and State House of Assembly to foster a harmonious working relationship with the executive arms of government, and work together through deliberations, bills and motions that will attract better dividends of democracy to Nigerians and Cross River State in particular.
As legislators, you have been entrusted with the important task of crafting and enacting policies that will positively impact on our immediate constituency.
She however concluded that, she have no doubt that their ability, integrity, capacity, and empathy will guide them in making and supporting informed decisions that prioritize the well-being and interest of those they represent.
