CROSS RIVER STATE COMMISSIONER FOR HEALTH DR. HENRY EGBE AYUK PROMISE TO INVIGORATE PARTNERSHIP FOR HIV and AIDS

Dr. Ayuk was recently sworn in as commissioner for Health by the governor, His Excellency Prince Bassey Otu on the 16th day of August, 2023.

The commissioner for health was in Transcorp hotel Calabar to facilitate in a workshop for the evaluation of the *Impact of HIV/Aids programs in Nigeria* and pledges to invigorate a stronger collaboration and partnership with critical stakeholders and non-governmental organisations as well as the private sectors across the state, country and in diaspora.

Hon. Egbe Ayuk commended their efforts in training on the impact evaluation and urged them to take the aspect of \”considering contextual factors\” seriously.

He further, deposited the importance of implementation as training and reports are readily available but implementation remains the bottle neck within the health sector.

The State commissioner for health reassures that the tenure of his excellency sen. Prince Bassey Otu shall focus on implementation of reports and policies for the well being of everyone in Cross River State and Nigeria at large.

In furtherance to his address, the Director FHI-360 reacted by thanking him for coming to them and giving them a sense of belonging.

More So, Mr Ayuk appreciates his Excellency Sen Prince Bassey Otu for finding him worthy to be used as a tool to transform the health sector in Cross River State.

Otu\’s government shall bring a new lift in the health sector and outline policies that shall be implemented within the shortest possible time.
