Gov. Otu Inaugurates State\’s Economic Management Team, EMT

A nine-person Economic Management Team (EMT) has been appointed by Cross River State Governor Senator Bassey Edet Otu to spearhead projects that should bring prosperity to the state\’s economy and its citizens.

In his charge to the group he chairs of which Prof. Peter Oti, the State Economic Adviser, serves as the Alternate Chairman, Governor Otu advised the members to assess any economic model carefully before making a proposal.

In order to ensure optimal synergy, he said, it was critical that the team coordinate with the initiatives and methods of the Presidential Economic Management Team. \”This marks a significant step towards economic growth and development in the state, aiming to enhance the standard of living for the people,\” stated the governor of Cross River. \”To ensure that citizens can access basic needs and create wealth for themselves, the focus is on tangible economic progress.\”
