APC Announces Posting of Returning, Collation Officers for House of Representatives Primaries
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the posting of Returning Officers and Collation Officers for the conduct of its House of Representatives Direct Primaries across federal constituencies ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
According to a statement released by the party, the appointments were approved by the State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Christopher Sunny Eta, in line with the approved timetable and guidelines of the APC.
The House of Representatives Direct Primaries are scheduled to hold on Saturday, May 16, 2026, as part of the process to nominate the party’s candidates for the forthcoming elections.
The party has therefore directed all members and stakeholders to return to their respective Local Government Areas and wards ahead of the exercise to ensure a smooth and successful conduct of the primaries.
The APC further urged members to maintain peace, discipline, and orderliness throughout the process, stressing the need for all participants to uphold the integrity and values of the party.

“For ease of reference and official verification, the complete list of appointed Returning Officers and Collation Officers has been displayed on the notice board at the Party Secretariat,” the statement noted.
In addition, all Returning Officers have been instructed to report to the Party Secretariat by 7:00 a.m. for the collection of election materials ahead of the primaries.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent, credible, and peaceful primary election process across the state.
