Brentford Reach Verbal Agreement to Sign El Hadji Malick Diouf
The Bees have reached a verbal agreement to sign Senegalese defender El Hadji Malick Diouf from West Ham United in a deal worth up to £40 million.
The agreement is understood to be worth £35 million guaranteed, with a further £5 million available in add-ons. The deal will see Diouf make a move within the Premier League as Brentford continue to strengthen their squad.
Diouf is reportedly keen on joining The Bees and has given the green light to the club’s project. The 24-year-old is now expected to complete the formalities and sign his contract soon.
The move represents a significant investment from Brentford, who see Diouf as an important addition to their defensive options. His arrival would also add further depth and Premier League experience to the squad.
With the verbal agreement now in place, the remaining steps are expected to be completed shortly before Diouf officially becomes a Brentford player.
