C’River Labour Party Chairman, Eugene Obia, Embarks on Philanthropic Mission to Remand Orphanage Home

In a heartwarming display of generosity and commitment to social welfare, the Acting State Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Eugene Bessong Obia, embarked on a philanthropic visit to the Remand Home Orphanage located in Uwanse-Orok Orok, Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The visit, which took place on 29th, August, 2024, highlights the party’s dedication to uplifting vulnerable members of the society as part of its broader welfarist philosophy.
Known for his dedication to humanitarian causes, Mr Eugene, arrived at the orphanage bearing gifts that would go a long way in improving the lives of the motherless babies under the care of the facility.
The items donated included a variety of essential foodstuffs, clothing, toiletries, and other valuable items aimed at enhancing the well-being and comfort of the children.
Upon receiving the donations, Mrs Jenny John Imoke, the custodian of the orphanage, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the institution, praising Mr Eugene Obia for his consistent efforts in supporting the less fortunate.
“Your benevolent humanitarian gesture has come at a time when we needed it most. These items will go a long way in facilitating the feeding and general well-being of the children in our custody,” she remarked.
The visit was marked by emotional moments as the children, who are often in need of love and attention, expressed their gratitude in the most heartwarming manner. In their innocent yet profound way thanked him for his kindness and offered prayers for his continued blessings, guidance, and protection, signifying the deep emotional connection formed during the charitable act.
