EA Sports has revealed the first batch of EA FC 27 player ratings, with the highly anticipated “Top 27” rankings for both men’s and women’s football released on August 17, 2026. Full league ratings are expected to roll out throughout the week ahead of the game’s official release.
Mbappé and Haaland Lead the Rankings
Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland headline the men’s rankings with an impressive 91 overall rating. Mbappé remains among the game’s elite following another strong campaign with Real Madrid, while Manchester City striker Haaland continues to dominate as one of football’s most highly rated forwards.
A group of seven players sit on 90 OVR, including Manchester City midfielder Rodri, PSG stars Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha, Barcelona duo Pedri and Lamine Yamal, Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and midfielder Jude Bellingham. Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise also joins the 90-rated group.
### Messi Receives Major Boost
Lionel Messi is rated 89 OVR in EA FC 27, receiving a significant upgrade from his previous 86 rating. The Inter Miami superstar’s boost comes after his outstanding performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he once again demonstrated his quality on the international stage.
Real Madrid forward Vinícius Jr. is also rated 89 OVR, placing him alongside Messi among the highest-rated players in the game.
With more ratings expected to be revealed this week, fans will soon get a complete picture of the biggest upgrades, downgrades and surprises in EA FC 27.
