Governor Bassey Edet Otu Inspects Ongoing Cultural Centre Project, Receives Assurance Of Completion Within 90 Days

Cross River State Governor, Apostle Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, paid an inspection visit to the ongoing reconstruction of the Cultural Centre project with the Deputy Governor Rt.hon.Dr. Peter Odey where he was taken on a walking tour of the project by the contractor High Chief Edem Duke,Chairman of Harshbury Sunderland infrastructure limited.

During the inspection, The contractor highlighted the outstanding features of the project, explaining that the Cultural Centre is going to be one of the best cultural centers in the country being developed with modern conferencing, event, recreational, and cultural amenities designed to serve both residents and visitors.

He further informed the Governor that the project is being executed with an innovative construction model that will make the facility virtually maintenance-free for at least 20 years. According to him, the Cultural Centre is not just a landmark project but also a sustainable investment, with multiple revenue-generating opportunities within and around the complex that will deliver significant returns on investments to the state upon completion.

Expressing confidence in the pace of work, the contractor assured the Governor that, provided all contractual obligations are met promptly, the project can be completed and commissioned within 90 days.

Impressed by the remarkable progress and quality of work, Governor Apostle Prince Bassey Edet Otu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering transformational infrastructure for the people of Cross River State. He promised to return soon for another inspection as work progresses.

The Cultural Centre project stands as a bold symbol of the administration’s vision to reposition Cross River State as a premier destination for culture, tourism, entertainment, and investment.
