Obudu New Yam Festival: Martha Agba donate cow other items

 

Frontline aspirant for the Obudu Local Government Chairmanship position, Martha Agba, yesterday donated a cow, cash, and other gift items to the Obudu Traditional Rulers Council in respect to the 2024 Obudu New Yam Festival.

Martha stated that the items are her support to the Traditional Rulers Council for the 2024 Obudu New Yam Festival.

She used the opportunity to discuss her plans for the people of Obudu. She reiterated her commitment to better welfare for Obudu Traditional Rulers if she emerges Council Chairman of Obudu.

Receiving the gifts on behalf of the council, the Paramount of Obudu, Chief Felix Ugwudali, welcomed all to his Palace. He appreciated Martha for her kind donation to the traditional rulers of Obudu. He blessed the aspirant and wished her well in her future endeavours.

Also speaking, the Clan head of Bedia, Chief Tony Udiandeye, commended Martha for her gifts to the Traditional Rulers. He commended her for remaining focused and principled. He also encouraged her not to relent in her pursuit.

The Clan Head of Begiaba, Chief Sampson Ogar, also spoke at the event. He noted that Martha has built a good career and has the experience to steer the Obudu Local Government Council. He stated that, he believes, if given the opportunity, Martha will do more great things for the people of Obudu.

Another speaker at the event, Chief Usani from Ukorshie, commended Martha for her boldness. He also spoke on the expectations of traditional rulers for the incoming Local Government Administration.

Also at the event are, the Clan Head of Betukwel, Chief Linus Akenushieye, and the Clan Head of Kutia, Chief Gabriel Adund. Others at the event are Chiefs across all the villages in Obudu. Supporters of the aspirant from Kubbong-Bette village and Angiaba/Begiaka Ward.
