Williams appealed during his visit to APC chieftain and co-contender in the just concluded Central Senatorial District primaries, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla in his family home in Ugep to solicit for his support to realize his senatorial ambition.

He maintained that they are one family, noting that unity and sacrifice of personal ambitions is what the party needs now to thrive.

According to him, “We must rise from the loss and unite. We have the battles ahead of us. We need you to lead us to the field and we should speak with one voice to change the narrative.”

Speaking during the visit, the former Director General for Okoi Obono-Obla Senatorial Campaign, Hon. Hydro Omini appealed to followers to henceforth desist from deploying inflammatory words against fellow party members in the name of post-primaries factional wrangling.

In his response, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla extolled the humble personality of the Speaker and expressed appreciation for the visit. He pledged to support his ambition after due consultation with his campaign organisation. He however called on the APC leadership in the state to faction a trusted reward system for party stakeholders.

Some of leaders at the visit include Former two termed Yakurr Council Chairman, Hon. Ubi Itam Etta, former Chairman, Hon. Ubi Arikpo, Sir Patrick Iwara, Chief Daniel Ubana and others.
