São Paulo Team Bus Seized After Police Find 86kg of Marijuana

A São Paulo football team’s journey to Bolivia was disrupted after police authorities seized its bus after discovering 86 kilograms of marijuana on board.

According to reports, police officers stopped the bus and found four bags containing the drugs. Three people were subsequently arrested in connection with the discovery.

The incident caused significant disruption to the team’s travel plans, forcing the club to make alternative arrangements for its delegation.

The company subcontracted by the club to provide transportation was required to send another bus to continue the journey after the original vehicle was seized by authorities.

The circumstances surrounding the presence of the marijuana on the bus remain under investigation, while the three arrested individuals are expected to face further questioning as authorities work to establish how the drugs came to be transported in the vehicle.

The incident occurred as the São Paulo-based delegation was travelling toward Bolivia, adding an unexpected complication to the team’s trip.

The club has not been directly implicated in the alleged drug trafficking, with the investigation expected to determine who was responsible for the four bags and how they ended up inside the bus.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case. Further details are expected as the legal process involving the three arrested individuals develops.
