Racheal Bassey, Personal Assistant, Climate Change & Green Economy to the Chairman of Calabar Municipality, recently met with Great Ogban, Director-General of the Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA), to discuss collaboration on promoting green entrepreneurship and supporting sustainable businesses.
The meeting focused on integrating green businesses into Cross River State’s enterprise development agenda. Both parties emphasized the importance of ensuring climate-friendly entrepreneurs have access to the resources they need to succeed.
Ms. Racheal Bassey, accompanied by Henry Ekanem, Senior Special Assistant on General Logistics, and Mr. Ogban agreed to leverage the Calabar Green Business Database. This database will be used to identify, engage, and support green entrepreneurs through access to business development services, funding opportunities, grants, and capacity-building programs.
This partnership represents a significant step towards building a resilient and climate-conscious economy in Cross River State.
