Real Sociedad Agree Deal to Sign Mamadou Sarr on Loan from Chelsea

Real Sociedad have agreed a deal to sign Chelsea centre-back Mamadou Sarr on loan, with the Spanish club moving quickly after their proposed deal for Nayef Aguerd fell through.

Sarr is now set to join Real Sociedad on a temporary move, with Chelsea having approved the loan. The agreement is currently awaiting the final signatures before the transfer can be officially completed.

The 20-year-old defender has also given his initial green light to the move and is understood to be open to continuing his development in La Liga.

Real Sociedad identified Sarr as an alternative option following the collapse of the Aguerd deal and have now reached an agreement with Chelsea over the structure of the loan.

Chelsea remain keen to see Sarr gain valuable first-team experience, while Real Sociedad view the French centre-back as an important addition to their defensive options.

The deal is expected to be completed once the necessary documents are signed, with Sarr then set to begin his new chapter in Spain.
