Senior Special Assistants (SSA ) to the Governor of Cross River State from Central recently adopted the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly and the All Progressives Congress APC Candidate for Senate, Central Senatorial District Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams as their sole Candidate for the 2023 General Elections.
The meeting which was a follow up to the earlier meeting held when the Senior Special Assistants Forum led by the Chairman of the Forum Mr. Emmanuel Etim paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker was opened by Vice Chairman Central of the forum Dr. (Mrs) Nancy lrek, the Senior Special Assistants to the Governor on information.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Nancy Irek said the Speaker\’s friendly disposition, his wealth of knowledge in Assembly matters, as well as his ability in delivering the dividends of democracy to his Constituency made them to adopt him as their sole candidate for the Senate.
All the Senior Special Assistants who spoke during the interaction were of the opinion that the Speaker\’s enviable score card will give him an added advantage in winning the election. As his political sagacity and magnanimity has yielded tremendous growth and progress in all the six local government areas in the Central Senatorial Districts. Reiterating that his outstanding performance will make them work assiduously in making sure he wins the Senatorial seat to enable the central and Cross River at large continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Responding, the Speaker who was highly elated thanked the Senior Special Assistants from the Central Senatorial District for their sincere show of love and commitment to his Senatorial project. He promised to carry them along in all what he does during the electioneering campaigns and beyond.
Highlight of the event was the election of Julius Kejio, Senior Special Assistant Public works and State Chairman Cross River youths in politics as the liason officer to the Speaker.
