UNICAL SUG President Released Another Appoints 5-Member Judiciary Screening Committee Appointment
The Executive President of the University of Calabar Students’ Union Government, Sen. Ebong Vordina Francis, has announced the appointment of a five-member Judiciary Screening Committee.
The appointment was made public on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, via a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the SUG President, Comr. Okonkwo Goodluck Olisaemeka, with reference UCC/SUG/001/026/007.
According to the statement, the committee is tasked with screening and recommending suitable candidates for appointment into the SUG Judiciary. Its core mandate is to ensure the process is transparent, credible, and thorough in selecting individuals who are competent, dedicated, and committed to upholding justice and fairness.
The appointed members are:
1. Kekayo Joseph Odum – Chairman
2. lAntingha Daniel – Secretary
3. Obasi George Uchechukwuv– Member
4. Elim Miracle Esu – Member
5. Racheal Edem – Member
The SUG President charged the committee to carry out its duties with diligence, integrity, and transparency as part of efforts to strengthen the Union’s judicial arm for better student service.
