UZODIMMA: TINUBU WILL SECURE RE-ELECTION EVEN IF ONLY APC MEMBERS VOTE

Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will comfortably win re-election in 2027, insisting that votes from members of the ruling All Progressives Congress alone would be enough to secure victory.

Uzodimma made the remark on Saturday during the APC presidential primary in Orlu East Local Government Area of Imo State, where he pointed to the large turnout of party supporters as evidence of Tinubu’s growing grassroots acceptance.

According to the governor, the massive participation of party faithful reflected the strength of the APC’s membership drive and grassroots mobilisation strategy.

“You can see 35,000 people gathered in just one ward in Orlu East Local Government. It means that if only APC members vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he has already won the election,” he said.

The governor also praised the party’s electronic membership registration and validation process, describing it as inclusive and effective in strengthening internal democracy.

He maintained that Tinubu had performed well enough to deserve a second term in office, adding that Nigerians were satisfied with the administration’s political approach and grassroots engagement.

Uzodimma further challenged opposition parties to strengthen their structures and emulate the organisational style of the APC ahead of future elections.

President Tinubu is expected to receive the APC’s certificate of return and official party flag as the party’s 2027 presidential candidate in Abuja following the conclusion of the nationwide primary election process.
